Data controller
Botiquant is a project by Juan Manuel González. For any question about your data, write to jmgonzalez01999@gmail.com.
What data we collect
When you sign in with Google, Google gives us and we store:
- Your email address, which lets us identify you.
- Your name and your profile photo, to show them in your account.
- A Google identifier (a number). We identify you by that number and not by your email, because a person can change addresses and a released address can end up in someone else's hands.
We also store a signed session cookie, so you do not have to sign in on every page. It is not a tracking cookie and it does not reveal which other sites you visit.
What data we do NOT collect
- Your password. We never see it: authentication is performed by Google.
- Your strategies, your market data and your results. The desktop
application works offline. Everything it generates, saves and exports stays
on your computer, in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Botiquant. We have no way to access it. - Your exchange keys. If you connect a Binance or BingX account, the key is stored encrypted by Windows on your computer and never reaches our servers. Orders go from your computer to the exchange without passing through us.
- Third-party measurement tools. The site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels or similar tools.
What the application does send
- Share. If you use Share on a strategy, its name, metrics, equity curve, rules and verdict are published on botiquant.com, and anyone with the link can see them until you deactivate it. To enforce the daily limit of links we use a digest of your IP address that is not kept beyond that day.
- Check for updates. On startup, the application asks botiquant.com which version is the latest. That request only includes the installed version number. We count those requests to know how many copies of the application are opened per day, with which version and from which country, without storing your IP address or any data that identifies you.
Integration with Claude (optional)
Botiquant can connect with Claude, Anthropic's assistant, through MCP (Model Context Protocol). The integration is disabled by default and is enabled from the Claude section of the application. With the integration active, Claude Desktop or Claude Code run a Botiquant component on your computer that lets Claude read your strategies, your results, the available instruments and, if you connected an exchange, the summary of that account (balance, positions and active robots), as well as generate, validate and export strategies when you ask it to.
That information is sent to Anthropic through your own Claude account and is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy. Botiquant does not receive it or send it to our servers. Claude never accesses your exchange keys and cannot start robots or send orders. You can disconnect the integration at any time from the same section.
Application usage statistics (only if you enable them)
They are disabled by default and the application does not ask anything on startup. If you enable them from the padlock at the bottom left, the application sends us:
- Which screens you open and how long you use the application.
- Which steps you complete: generate, validate, export or activate a robot, with the chosen market and timeframe and how many strategies were obtained.
- The application version, the language, a random installation identifier and, if you have a license, which account it belongs to.
- The country, derived from your IP address when the data is received. The address is not stored.
We never receive your strategies, your rules, your results, your exchange keys, your balances or your files. We use this information to decide what to improve and keep it for 12 months. You can disable it at any time from the padlock at the bottom left of the application.
What we use the stored data for
- So you can sign in to your account and download the application.
- To write to you about an important update or a security issue.
- If you enabled usage statistics, to decide what to improve in the application.
We do not sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties. We do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers essential to deliver the service:
- Google, which authenticates you when you press "Sign in with Google" (its policy).
- Hostinger, where the server is hosted.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. If you request its deletion, we delete the email, name, photo and identifier. The session cookie expires automatically. Usage statistics are deleted automatically after 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what data we store about you, to correct it or to delete it completely. Write to jmgonzalez01999@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason.
You can also revoke Botiquant's access directly from your Google account.
Minors
Botiquant is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
If we change anything important, we update the date shown above and notify you by email before it takes effect.
