What Botiquant is
Botiquant is a desktop application that searches for trading strategies on historical data and exports them as code for MetaTrader 5 or TradingView. The website is only used to register and download it: all computation is performed on your computer.
What Botiquant does NOT do
- It is not financial or investment advice. We do not know your situation, your objectives or your risk tolerance, and nothing the application shows constitutes a recommendation to trade.
- It only trades if you connect it. In MetaTrader, Botiquant reads prices from your terminal and generates a code file: it does not send orders, and using that file is your decision. In the Crypto section you can connect an exchange account (Binance or BingX) with an API key; from that moment on, the robots you activate send orders to that account from your computer. You decide which strategy, with what capital and with what daily loss limit, and Botiquant does not guarantee that a robot trades the same as in the backtest.
- It does not promise results. No strategy the application finds is guaranteed to be profitable, and many will not be.
- The Claude integration does not trade. If you connect Botiquant with Claude through MCP, Claude can read, generate, validate and export strategies, but it cannot start robots or send orders. Claude's answers do not constitute financial advice.
The results you see belong to the past
This point deserves its own section because it is the most costly misunderstanding. When a search tests thousands of combinations on the same history, it always finds some that look good in hindsight, even by pure chance. The shorter the period and the more conditions are added, the more attractive the result and the less likely it is to repeat.
That is why the application includes out-of-sample validation, a robustness score and notes on which figures are comparable with each other. Use them. And before trading with real capital, test on a demo account long enough to gather your own evidence.
Your account
- You need a Google account to download the application.
- You are responsible for what is done from your account.
- You can request its deletion at any time: see the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
By using Botiquant, you agree not to:
- Resell or redistribute the application as your own.
- Use it to deceive third parties, for example by presenting backtests as real results to attract investors.
- Attack, overload or attempt to breach the server.
Market data
The historical data the application downloads comes from public third-party sources. We do not guarantee that it is complete or free of errors, and its use is subject to the conditions of whoever publishes it.
Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is". We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of it. The desktop application you already downloaded will keep working offline even if the site becomes unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for financial losses arising from trading decisions made with Botiquant. Trading decisions are yours, and so is the risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic.
